Executive Chef, George Moutsos, brings world experience, and cooking passion to the Colombo Lodge. After completing his Chef’s training, he went on to chef in such locations as Whistler, Bermuda, and Chicago, to name but a few. He gained valuable cultural exposure to food and spice variety before returning to his roots in Kamloops. And aren’t we glad he came back! Having been raised in a restauranteur family, he started working with his father in the family kitchen at a very young age. Chef George says that cooking is in his genes, which means it’s not just something that he’s good at, but it’s a compelling force that completes his life. Wow! And that’s what you can expect when you partake in a dinner event at the Lodge – expect to be “Wowed!” With a flair for custom designing every menu and a dedication to client needs, Chef George creates delectables from around the world, or closer to home – whatever your desire – it’s created to perfection. Each course of every menu is lovingly prepared and artfully arranged by Chef George with the enthusiastic help of the Can-Ital ladies. And being on the board of the Thompson, Shuswap, Chef/Farmer Collaborative, Chef George ensures that the food is purchased from local farmers and arrives truly “farm fresh”.
